When a person can no longer laugh at himself, it is time for others to laugh at him.
Week Fourteen (12.7-12.11):
Reading time and approximately ten minutes at the end of the period for groups to finalize presentation strategies for Tuesday's connotation project presentations.
Begin connotation project presentations. All groups must be prepared to present, though some may not present until Thursday (especially in third period, which has two more groups than the other sections).
Goal check. A rare full Wednesday, so we will also share some of our reading with each other. Plan on being asked about signposts as part of the response, which means you should identify at least one ahead of time. Quiz over the concepts of connotation, denotation, and euphemism after presentations are done tomorrow.
Complete any remaining connotation presentations. All groups will self assess using the rubric (I will provide a printed copy for each group). We will also take our brief quiz over the concepts of connotation, denotation, and euphemism today. We will have vocabulary due at the end of the class Friday.
Vocabulary. Three completed words due by the end of class. Please use the form found on the About section of your Google Classroom.
