House Party

House Party

So this is the new app that people have been downloading, and personally I think that it is a lot of fun. You and your friends can get together and video chat in a house party up to 8 people. I personally heard of this from some college students who were on it while on break and used it to keep in touch with their college friends. I have been using it to keep in touch with friends from other towns that I don’t get to see every day but maybe once a week. Oddly enough I think that this app has been good on the side of keeping in touch with friends, getting closer, and making new friends, the downside is that it is very distracting, it kills your battery and it sucks up your data. There is always a good and a bad to every app.

I really like being able to use this and keep in touch with everyone. I have been able to talk to people I wouldn’t normally talk and that is a cool aspect of how media brings people together. I don’t really know how other people feel about this app. I think that if you don’t have a set group of people that you plan to talk to, it gets awkward when you join a random group, but you can also avoid that by locking the rooms so that you are able to only talk to the people currently in there without having a random person popping up.

What do you think about the app? I’m curious to see who likes it and who doesn’t.

  • I think that this app is so much fun! I downloaded it yesterday and i'm obsessed with it. I love being able to meet new people on it. Although it is very fun, it does indeed drain my battery and data. I agree, I love how it has brought people together! I just really don't like when people come in chats and just act creepy and weird. -- because they don't have to be my friend but they could be someone else's in the chat.
