Protests

I disagree a lot with all the protests going on about the election. I understand people are frustrating with Trump winning, but do people really think that protesting in major cities is going to change the vote at all? I also don't like how much the media is focusing on the protests. There are so many other things worth reporting on than people being upset about their candidate of choice not winning. So many other people have had to deal with the same thing before with their party not getting the presidency. Did they go out and start riots in some of the United States' biggest cities?

  • I don't think the protest is about changing the vote. It's about the direction of the country. Don't conflate the rioters with the peaceful protesters. Many people are understandably afraid about the rhetoric coming from Trump and his followers. America was born of protest, and peaceful protest is a vital part of democracy.
  • The more the media focuses on the protests, the more it creates an even bigger conflict. Sadly, conflicts are what bring in the viewers.
  • I agree with you, I don't understand why they started protesting because it was done and over with when he got elected. The people that were protesting apparently don't have pride in America, most of them were not even old enough to vote.
  • I am so tired of hearing all the protests that have been happening over the election. It's like, its done and over with! No need to start riots and burning American flags. That is so disrespectful to our whole country. People need to let it go. I totally disagree with most of the protests going on too, Krysta. I'm so over it!
  • I did not see this before I posted mine... Sorry
  • I think it's absolutely ridiculous for all of the protests. They can't change what happen and they don't know what's going to happen in the future.
  • I totally agree with your entire post. There really isn't much we can do about the presidency so far, so all we can do is hope for the best. I feel like this whole election has dragged on for way too long.
