The app "Countable"

Scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon an internet famous person’s tweet talking about how important it is to know about the government and what changes are being made. They mentioned the app called Countable. Basically you can change your feed to see what topics are put up. Some of the topics are civil rights, crime & police, economy, education, and so much more. They even put up summaries of what bills are going through congress right now. The whole idea behind this app was to be able to contact your congressmen to tell them what you think and persuade them if needed. Comments are also allowed underneath each and everyone of the news sections so you can see what other people think to. I think it’s a great way to get younger people involved and education on what is going on with our government.

  • I think this app sounds like a good way to get people to see what is actually important. I don't think it will be very popular though because it's actually informational.
  • I agree that this is an interesting and promising app. But will it hold people's interest as well as a Snapchat filter that makes you look like a dog?
  • I think that this is a great idea, to get children, teens, and young adults, into government to let them know what is going on and what could even effect them. This is my first time hearing of this site and I will probably download it later as I would like to know what is happening. Especially now with a non-politician about to be our President. The downside to this is that, I have never heard of it before, and I think that is bad because people and the company that owns Countable, aren't putting enough effort into spreading the word about this app.
